Toddlers Care Index (TCI) – Advanced Clinical Course

Overview
Tengslamat, in partnership with the Family Relations Institute, is excited to announce an upcoming advanced clinical TCI training course. This course is available to anyone who has completed a basic TCI course in Iceland. The training will be held in Reggio Emilia, Italy, and will also be available online via Zoom.
The course will focus on clinical adult-toddler dyads
The TCI , with the addition of the “frustration & repair” task, enables professionals to use a 5-minute procedure to estimate 2-5 year-olds’ attachment strategy with their parents. That is, the TCI provides information about both interaction and attachment and extends this to 5 years of age.
When:
This course will take place over 6 sessions, on Tuesday to Sunday, on the following dates: 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19th May 2024

Prerequisites:
This course is open to everyone who attended a basic TCI course in Iceland.
Language:
The course will be held in English, although the interactions will be in several languages. From prior experience, we know that mixed cultural groups are the most exciting, and we hope many of you will be able to attend and enjoy meeting colleagues from different countries and
viewing interactions from varied cultures.
What to bring:
Each participant will contribute one risk or clinical case, with mother and father TCIs on USB and consents forms.
There is not a Reliability Test associated with this course.
